Vintage Madonna Print

Isn't this a pretty interpretation of the Madonna? A young woman seated with a book; a small village past her in the distance. The period of her clothing, seated on a rag or hooked rug, is reminiscent to me of a pioneer Madonna. This print was originally painted by a German artist so I guess maybe her clothes are from the time it was painted in Germany. Just thought you'd like to see it. It is different. It's for sale in my etsy shop. I might like to keep it but for the need in this period of my life to simplify, clean out, I'm not sure, whatever.

I agree, a very beautiful portrait, love her clothing.
I know what you mean about "mucking out", I have days when I just want to throw the lot away.
Hope your friend and little baby are doing better, I said a prayer.

Maria posted on her blog about the earthquake and being sent home from the hospital because she wasn't an emergency. Baby girl Ines arrived Sunday evening and all are well. She is very worried about her country/people though. Her blog is Casazoo.blogspot.com. She posted some pics of the earthquake and little Ines. Thank the Lord.
