The Wonder

We have all seen one - or thousands really.  Murmurations - when birds gather in flight - for some unknown reason.  One of the most beautiful and wondrous sights on this Earth.

At my Peaceable Hill Farm, I think all the murmurations are done for the year.  The birds have flown south to warmer climes to overwinter.  Hope to see them  next year.

Oh mylanta...a whale and a mushroom! There is nothing that can top nature at its finest. The best we can hope for is to capture it for a moment with a camera.
Love it.

A gift to be able to see this. I read about people gathering in England to watch the starlings do this. We try to shoo the starlings away so they won't take over the bird feeders, but if they make patterns like this in the sky they are beautiful.
