Bye Bye Birdie

How did an ornery ole bird steal my heart?  Can't be that can opener of a beak that has drawn my blood more times than one could imagine.  He could bark like the dogs only louder if you can believe it. But, then he'd say, "good bird". Yet, we two got used to each other.  My little buddy stole my heart and I guess he loved me too in his own birdy way. We'd sing together. He loved a song I made up and sang to him each morning.  "It's a Birdie kind of day...it's a Birdie kind of day ay ay.  Just a singin' and a preenin' and a wingin' in a Birdie kind of way..." He loved to sit on my shoulder and blog with me.  Hated water though I made him take a shower with me from time to time.  He thought he was king of the manor - lorded over the dogs and cats and us.  Loved popcorn, blueberries and macaroni.  He woke me up last week right before he left on a journey.  Don't think my heart can break many more times from the loss of my pets. Oh Birdie, I'll miss you so.

"Now cracks a noble heart.  Good night sweet prince.  And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
Shakespeare

And I can just hear Birdie's loud squawk above the angel voices.

My heart knows the pain...we lost our Sun Conure - Sundance - now going on 2 years. He was with us, seeds, baths, singing, cooing, screeching, primping and loving for over 20 years...I still feel his presence, a Soul most Noble and Pure of Love!

Time really does heal...and another little one will call yournSoul...just wait and see, and listen...

Donna,
Sorry about Birdie. I know what characters parrots are and how they can be cantankerous but contagious to our heart.
So sorry for your loss of you buddy.

I'm so sorry Donna! I know how hard it is to loose a feathered family member. Birds are such funny little beings and so much smarter than most people realize, who haven't spent time with them. Sending you huge hugs and love for your loss.

... and on a completely different note, I downloaded a free program called BorderFX. Just Google it and it will come up. It makes borders and does other things but I only use it for watermarking. I figured it out without too much trouble and I'm pretty computer illiterate. ;) Oh, and it was free.

Donna, it's easy to see how any creature could steal your heart-it is so open to them. Keep it that way, it will break-but along with that it will swell. xxoo-pgt
