NEST

Perhaps a cuckoo's nest?  Supposedly, Native Americans learned basketry from watching birds make their nests.  It was interesting to make while waiting for my crops to bear and reading GONE GIRL.  Summer fun.

Kirsten, I couldn't get into it at first; had to keep re-reading what I'd read. Then, I couldn't put it down. It is the first fiction I've read in years, I think, so maybe, I'll try another. I bought The Paris Wife, about Hemingway's wife, in Paris, so maybe I'll read that next.

Please let me know if it was worth the time. I like reviews before I invest the time and effort.

Thank you Deb. That is so sweet. And, I recycled paper too.

Jo, you are such a dear, sweet friend. Thank you. Do you have a robin nest again this year at your front door?

Dear Donna - great nest (looks like used some recycled bits - good for you). Hope your garden is growing well - mine is since we have received so much needed rain. Have a great Fourth of JUly - hope you are learning to play that Ukle for your hubby's birthday. Take care.

Thank you so much Cindy.

Sadly not, the nest is still on the porch wreath with a vacancy sign :}

That is a pretty nest you created, and I like to get ideas for books to read, so that is a good recommendation for Gone Girl. I liked Her Royal Spyness by Rhys Bowen and The Code of the Woosters by P.G. Wodehouse (funny).

Thank you Terra. And, I always love book recommendations as there is nothing worse than wasting time on a boring book.

Hi Donna, I got a kick out of the comment on my blog about your hand painted signs lol
Nice little bird basket you made. Bitd are pretty miraculous in their nest weaving.

Thank you very much Ruma and I hope your summer is beautiful.

Thanks Willow. I thought the signs were funny, but not everyone shares my kind of humor.

I love it! I love nests anyway but this is enchanting! I looks so wonderful!!!
I want to make one but I have a feeling that if I went for it ... it wouldn't look anything like a nest!

I'm finally making it around to blogs again. Crazy summer. Good but crazy!
Hope you are enjoying the season! I am sitting in front of a fan right now. :)
