This sculpture was my personal favorite at the Louvre.

I love that too. Canova, I think? There is another one in Italy, in a villa on Lake Como, you can tour. You might have to go see it someday. ;)

I can see why it is a favorite. I want to go to France one day.
But for now I will have to enjoy your wonderful photos and my daily visits to Cory's
blog Tongue in Cheek!

This sculpture is lovely especially in that light and shadows. I like the Winged Victory at the Louvre.

Hello, donna baker.

The words of the christian Bible are very interesting.
 I thank for your suggestion.
As for the all things in nature, both the West and the Orient are the same.

The encounter with your work is my pleasure.
 Thank you for visit.

 The prayer for all peace.
I wish You all the best.

Have a good weekend. From Japan, ruma ❃

Very beautiful piece Donna. I love the way the wings are also so delicate in this one.
Hope Autumn is being good to you.

I'm repeating the biblical verse from Matthew in reference to a comment I posted on Ruma's wonderful blog. "all is vanity, and that is like chasing the wind."
