Einstein Was Right

I woke this morning to watch CNN and have my coffee.  CNN wasn't there.  What?  I thought I was in some horrible time warp - a parallel universe without CNN.

Shame on you DISH Network.  Didn't get the price point you wanted, so you refused a new contract to provide CNN.   I have DISH in both of my houses and spend a small fortune for their satellite services.  CNN is the gold standard in news programming unlike the many crappy unwanted channels we receive as part of our package.

Unbelievable!  I don't watch television on my computer, nor ipad or iphone and refuse to do so.  It is like going back to 1836.  Must we now find out what is happening in the world by telegraph, Morse code or dreaded Western Union missives?  Einstein said that time travel to the future would be easier to do than travel back in time.
I hope DISH gets its comeuppance; hope its stocks are in free fall and subscribers leave in droves.       I am pissed!

  1. WTF???
I don't blame you Donna. I would be pissed as hell. The only thing like this I've experienced is an apparent rift between Charter and AOL when my AOL went down. I've had to upgrade to AOL paid version just to get my friggin email. Once I dropped the paid version and went back to free AOL my email went mysteriously on the blink again. Alas, my choice, because I prefer to use AOL vs. Gmail. Hoping you get your CNN back soon. It's one of the only channels I watch.

    1. Isn't it incredible, Amanda. Dish is quoted as saying, it's not like CNN is ESPN or anything. I've never watched espn (tons of sports channels), but TV with no CNN? It's like Christmas without Santa Claus etc. CNN is the gold standard in news reportage on TV. Leaves me with Fox (would never) or Al Jazeera.

    2. Not like CNN is ESPN or anything? Guess the mentality of Dish just made itself blatantly known.

  2. Dear Donna - I have dish but don't watch CNN - didn't even know it was gone but don't worry I am sure they will renegotiate and get it back. They do this from time to time to raise the price on us (LOL)! Hope it returns soon for you friend. Hugs!

    1. It took years of withdrawal from my newspapers after I left Houston and moved to the middle of nowhere. They don't deliver newspapers where I live though I read the Huffington Post online.
