To See Again

We're on our way today to have Sister's eye surgeries.  We'll be crossing the state (in winter weather of course) several times. Keep your fingers crossed.  I'll be back in a few days.

Dear sweet Sister, we wish you a safe operation and many years of chasing squirrels which you will spot from afar with your most excellent new eyesight! Safe travels Donna, I know you love your little gal.

Traveling Grace to you, and Healing Hands for Sister, along with beautiful things to see. I hope it's your face in front of her when they take off the bandages.

It means the world to me that all of you took the time to send your love and best wishes. I was so overwhelmed before the surgery, I forgot to ask what to expect afterward and they didn't tell me. So, for two days, I have been holding her paws so she doesn't scratch her eyes out. I went back the next day, frantic over her scratching and they gave me a collar to put around her neck. She now just rubs her eyes against the collar. The 5 bottles of eyedrops, spread out many times throughout the day, must sting because she goes ape. Nevertheless, I think we are over the crisis stage and that things are looking up (with a little help from Xanax for me). I think she can see too, which will become more apparent as the days progress. She is sleeping now next to me atop my clean clothes basket, but I don't care. Just that she is sleeping and not trying to rub her eyes. Whew!!!!
