Product Review

You ready for this?

I'm pretty picky about my feet.  I have every implement imaginable in triplicate.  I don't go to the nail salons: I prefer to do them myself (and fear infections etc. from the salons.)  I simply can't stand for my heels to get callouses and cracking.  After a summer of flip flops, they get pretty dry even with constant attention and said accoutrement and lotions.

Here is a new item I have found.  It can be purchased in the Soft Surroundings catalog and/or spas.  Using 17 different "natural extracts" including lemon, apples, clematis, chamomile and more.  It even listed ivy.

Well it must have been poison ivy.

Don't look at the next picture if you are squeamish or phobic about feet.  I'll skip down.

It's not my foot, I swear, it's my friend Mary Kay's.  Okay, just kidding.  Not only did my feet peel, the skin literally sloughed off, some in sheets.  They felt like a Shaggy Bark Elm tree trunk.  It has been a week and a half already.  Even the skin on top of my feet are peeling.

Anyway, this stuff works.  I accused my sister of doing it on purpose (getting it for me and not telling me what to expect.)  But, all in all, after all is said and done, my feet are like baby feet.  Just make sure and pick a time when you can wear socks for a couple of weeks.  Wouldn't it have been funny to go to a salon with these feet?

And, you thought you were going to see a delicious treat or fall beautifulness.

I had a friend who used this product and love it! Glad it worked for you!

Well it sure worked. I bet you could put it on your hands, chest and face though I'd be afraid to.

Well, Donna, when I clicked over here to let you know how much I wished that I could help you plant those tulip bulbs, I found a totally different topic

I truly don't know what happens to our feet. Is it age...no, cannot be. Over the past decades, I've been wearing the same footwear over the seasons, sandals, boots and shoes, socks, tights, and yet, my feet seem different. At some point during the past six months, I did become a fan of the L'Occitane products that seem to nurture the skin ... not just, but including the feet.

I've now made a note of Baby Foot.

I'm now looking forward to advice that other commenters might offer.

I know it is gross, but I can't stand my feet to catch on my tee shirt sheets I just got out for the cold weather. You are right about the aging thing and feet, though my daughter's have the same problems. I should have waited a couple of more weeks, so flip flop season was past. As I said, socks would cover up the problem till it's finished. Really works and I didn't think my feet were that bad.

Amazing, but I think I will stick with Neutrogena cream thank you.

Yes, I am still waiting to hear from her.

I've used every brand of cream that says for fishermen or severely dry skin and it works for just a few hours. I'm telling you, if you want feet like a baby's, get some of this. Just remember to use it during sock weather or you'll be grossing everyone out.

I put some cream and socks on today Elaine. How dare you. (That's a joke.) I just wanted to give you guys and gals a good scare for Halloween.

OMG!!! I don't think I could go through this - I'm an 'every month at the salon' for a pedicure/foot scrub with my lovely lady Kim (I even met her cousin in her home town of Hoi An in Vietnam a couple of years ago!), and have never had any type of infection in 20 years+! You are brave to take on this type of exfoliation Donna!

Hugs - Mary - who has just celebrated year 72 this evening with my family at a favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant, and am feeling no pain whatsoever, LOL!!!!

I'm right behind you Mary. I went once around here and twice in Tulsa and none of the places used new tools or containers for foot soaks. I have known someone in Tulsa that got a terrible infection and had to wear an antibiotic IV line for weeks. My excuse for not going anyway. I've never had a massage either. It is off-putting for strangers to - dare I say to touch me? The peel doesn't hurt at all, just looks like it does. Happy birthday, dear one.

I am cracking up because I used this a few months ago! I had a date and had to try to get off all that skin quickly and my feet were so tender! But, yes, totally works.

p.s. so much skin came off I thought I might have lost a shoe size but no such luck. ;)

It is unreal Lucinda. Mine peeled for two weeks. As I said, wait till sock weather comes around. They looked awful. But, they are still soft as a baby's behind.
