The Vase

I cut some calla lilies for the vase I bought, but just didn't want to cut more.  It would be really pretty with three in each pocket, but this was all I could do.  She still makes me smile.

Well, Hello!!! How've you BEEN? I remember you from some time back, and I thought you were beautiful then AND now. What colour and complexion, and what a graceful pose, like a Chiparus lady. With flowers!

So lovely.

Beautiful vase but I know what you mean about cutting the flowers.

I just had to have her. I look at her every day.

I wanted white parrot tulips, but the only white ones I had had red stripes on them. Next year, I'll have to plant some white tulips.

Especially the calla lilies Pat. There aren't many of them.

She is gorgeous. I would smile at her every day, with or without flowers. And I too am reluctant to pick blooms unless there are LOTS of them.

I'm the same way Child. First time I have had flowers in her.

...........also Queen Ann's Lace from the hedgerows, Baby's Breath all light and airy, or just greenery such as ferns - all would be so pretty.
Love what I can see of the painting Donna - picks up the color of the dress so well.
Really beautiful!

Mary, remember Gracie, the horse I fed for eight years. I found her a forever home and miss her ornery self. The painting is a white horse like Gracie. Yes, so many things would be pretty, but I love looking at her just as she is. Thank you Mary.

Oh thank you Mr. Man.

Oh Bea, thank you. I made it myself ;) Each calla lily plant only grows about three flowers so I didn't cut more.

You're so sweet Jacqueline.

That's what I think Elizabeth and I'm kind of lazy. Plus, knowing me, the more I mess with it, the more likely I will drop it. This way, it stays safe.

Sometimes cutting more is really hard when it detracts from the outside displays....

Yes, I spend a lot of time gazing at my garden.
