My Funny Valentine

I have no Valentine photos to share so I'll use this one that I have posted before - a very old heart shaped, hand forged stirrup along with a bunch of lollipops for the grandchildren.

Going to Penny Lane's first birthday party today.  It seems like only yesterday and I'll get a current picture so you can see how she's grown.  Dark hair and blue eyes and smiles all the time. The sweetest baby.  She just started walking too.  Can't wait to see it.  It should be funny to see her eat her first taste of sugar.

Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. That stirrup does look old. Is it European?

    1. My guess is that it is Oklahoman, from a father or grandfather for their beloved child and pony. It is small. I picked it up at a flea market.

    1. Well said and she is. I am glad they have kept the sugar from her. I think after the cake, all bets are off.

  4. Awww. Can't do better than a poster child baby. Yes, good about the ban on sugar. Penny looks like an intelligent child, too. She'll be fine, from cake to cake to twenty one and a great life.

    1. She was a little overwhelmed with all of us there. She stays home with her mother and doesn't get out much, so she was shy.

  10. DONNA BAKER! HELLO! What a sweety; any Penny that I've ever known has been a sweet and kind, loyal and wonderful friend. May little Penny Lane be as such. She is CUTE! And thank you kindly for visiting me today. YES!If you can take your photos in RAW, you need to open them up in Photoshop, at least that is how I open them. The results are lovely. ENJOY! Anita

    1. Anita, so nice to hear from you. I was happy until you said photoshop. Never been there and have no faith in my abilities to do it. I need to get the kids to show me how.
