Very sweet post...I buy the cage free eggs from the grocery but,I would prefer home grown...I guess is the way to put it....smile...blessings

I buy brown eggs, but not sure if they compare to free range ?

Hi Donna, I've not been around in a while. I am busy as can be! I always buy free range-great advice there. Yes, the fat, sturdy orange yolks are sooo much better than the runny, pale flat ones in the supermarket. Do you have aruncana's? That's what it looks like in the picture. The shells are as nice as the insides:)

I love love love eggs - and go through them by the dozens...becuase I have high cholestorol..so I can only eat egg whites!
Yes, Jackie, I do keep Aurancana chickens. The eggs can be pink, green, blue and gold. They are also very sociable/sweet. Julie, you are a better woman than me. I would rather not eat just the whites. Maybe so if they had lots of veggies and cheese in them. Lowfat, of course.
Love, love, love fresh eggs, well any kind of eggs. Love to paint them and photograph them too.
