Colder Than A Witch's Tit

Oh! How I do hate winter. Temperatures below zero, blizzards, ice and snow and more snow... It is the work of a demon methinks. Does anyone have a shack on a warm beach someplace, where I can wait out the rest of winter? We have to winter somewhere warm from now on. I just can't stand it. If you watch House Hunters International, it would only cost a mere half-million or so. Maybe, they would let me cook for room and board. Or, I could paint (oils not houses).

Here's Hosannah, the neighbor's horse. They don't shelter her, nor feed her, so I am feeding her through the winter once again. She had icicles on her the other day.

Buzzy, the kitten, and I are reduced to watching the birds feeding. After being housebound for the week, I drove my 4 x 4 truck to town for horse feed and birdseed? My priorities are not the same as most folks.

At least all the creatures around my Peaceable Hill Farm are well cared for. I fully expect the raccoons to come knocking any minute.

I'm so with you! I hate winter! We have so much snow, some days I feel stranded on this mountain!
I like your winter images and you title made me laugh, I haven't heard that expression for a while.
You are a kind soul to take care of your neighbor's horse, shame on them.

There's not a thing wrong with your priorities! They're the same as mine! Around here, a man that doesn't feed his horse may end up in the county jail!

My knee... doing well... but it IS a full year recovery (which I'll reach in mid-May), but every day seems a little better! It's the toughest 6-weeks you may ever deal with, but well worth it when you get on the other side!

Yes, Clara and Alex are very fortunate to still be together after 60-years... but it has not been without heartache (the loss of two of their 7-children) over the years... Alex spent 2-years in the VA Hospital after being critically injured in WW2.. but he made it back to his sweetheart... a true love story.

Paris! Okay, I think I'd have to take my sweetie with me for that one! Have fun! Lots of walking you know!!

hugs. Dixie

OH my gosh, they don't feed their horse? Um... where are those folks on animal planet that arrest people for not taking care of their animals!!! So glad you are their with your warm heart!

I must say I cracked up ... my dad says "Colder than a witches tit" and I never hear anyone else say it!!!

Love the light on the kitty and the beautiful birds! I am a bird girl, after all.

I like to visit winter but I don't want to live in it!

Winters are too long....that's why I like to escape for a while...but you have so many critters that need you. That is what I worry about when we are sitting in sunshine in Mexico. This year my son was here to take care of everything. It was like the first time in years that I didn't have to worry about anything! There are some advantages to getting older sometimes! Your world will brighten up soon. Spring is on the horizon......

Can't you report the people who don't feed their horse?
That makes me sick!
You are making some serious good Karma.
