I call this my Goonie Bird plate. Bought it at Round Top. Though I love it (I'm a bonafide bird nut and love all things bird), it has been shelved in a closet. I don't know where it should go. The painter/artist did a wonderful job. It is fairly old, but not dated. I wonder if the bird is extinct now?
Truth be known, I am really just piddling around, trying to find things to keep me from doing the things I should be doing; a lame excuse to use a plate, I know. Do you feel guilty wasting time and not being productive? Oh well, guess I'll piddle some more and find a wall to display it on.

I seem to be very good at doing nothing these days :)
Lovely colors on your plate.

I love that plate!!! I do this all the time. Yesterday when I was supposed to be getting ready for work...I was instead moving great big shutters to either side of my fireplace to see how they looked. I liked it...but liked them better where they were before...so now today...I'm moving them back...sometimes I just feel like I wander around in circles in my accomplishing nothing.
On a desk in the entrance for calling cards?:)
Too unique to be tucked away..
That is such a goofy looking bird. Makes a great plate, but pretty sure I would be OK leaving it undisplayed (if that is even a word), but I would always be happy I owned it. Guilt is one of my least favorite things in the world and don't think the tiny shortfall of being unproductive should result in it. And as long as your brain is working, you can't convince me that you are actually unproductive.
