Breaking Bad

I'm a late bloomer - didn't get on the Homeland or Breaking Bad train until later.  If Breaking Bad was a drug, I'm hooked.  On a bad binge for both.  Finished Homeland and now on to Breaking Bad.  I can't quit you, Walter White.  It is that good.  Just hope Homeland hurries up with the next season.  Love these shows!

I've never seen it but I am addicted to murder mysteries on Acorn TV and anything Medieval. I remember that actor as the dufus father in the show, "Malcolm in the Middle", my boys used to watch. I guess he plays quite the reverse character in Breaking Bad. About Hobby Lobby in your post below, I love that store!

Caro is the BB afficionado, though I DID watch bits and pieces (ADORE Gus in anything he plays in, so his arc was a must---wasn't his persnickety-precise just perfect for such a deadly character?) and watched all the six final episodes. The writing is absolutely superb---pure poetry in places, with Shakespeare and a lot of country music lyrics thrown in.

STUNNING cast, and I'm glad you found it. My own secret vice is Sons of Anarchy, so if you're all out of magnificent mayhem, may I introduce you to Jax and Clay and Opie and Teeg, with Gemma the gem of the lot. It's Hamlet with Harleys---what's not to like?

Stay warm,

rachel

Just wanted to warn all of you that it is raw in some parts. It's funny, tragic, sad; has you on the edge of your seat, holding your breath. That's why I have binged on it, because I can't wait to see what happens next. Definitely not a chick flick or love story. I rarely watch serial shows on TV, like in life, I prefer non-fiction to fiction, but these are my exceptions. Also, Game of Thrones and period pieces, especially Masterpiece Theater. I wish Twin Peaks would come back as well as Northern Exposure. I love quirky characters.

I have to be feeling strong to watch Breaking Bad, a series I like. We also like Downton Abbey and Walking Dead. We are also watching Mad Men and will start watching Game of Thrones again when the new season is available as DVDs.
