We've Been Had

I want to preface this by saying that I'm not a girly girl.  I'm low maintenance, my hair gets piled up on top of my head with a clip, I hate to wear makeup and the only jewelry I wear is a pair of earrings.
That being said, my eyelashes have become almost non-existent; very light and sparse.
Almost all my women friends are using Latisse and have very dark, lush and long lashes.  So, I decided to try it too.
Well after spending $164.00 (I died) on this box (it said for a one month supply), imagine my surprise when I pulled out this teeny bottle and the rest of the box was filled with cheap disposable brushes.  I couldn't believe it.  Two brushes per day or one for each eye and one drop per eye.

Unbelievable.  The crappy, hard black brush soaks up a drop and is wasteful of the liquid that is as expensive as gold.
We're getting screwed ladies.  First of all, I'm told you can find Latisse for around $115.00 at Sam's though there isn't one where I live.  Secondly, ALLERGAN, the company that makes Latisse, knows about this.  Shame on them.  Some consumer reporting agency should make this public.

I decided to try a  new sable paintbrush.  One drop is more than enough for both eyes with zero waste.
Just thought you'd want to know.

Wow Donna that is expensive, considering it's a product that once you start using, it has to be bought every month.
I read somewhere, that if you have blue eyes, it can change the color of the iris to brown....mine are blue and so I wouldn't use it, but it does seem to work well.
Woman color their hair every six weeks or so, it's about the same expense I suppose.
Hope you end up with long, fluttery lashes :)

My eyes are a light blue so I am worried about that.

Oh wow Donna - this sounds like a bit of high maintenance to me. Glad you found that the sable brush works better than what is enclosed. Good luck my friend. Have a great week-end.

Sounds to me like somebody should publicly lash out at them!

Deb you are always so funny. I know it sounds vain, but since my eyes are so light, it looks funny with hardly any lashes. I've been told to wear eyeliner or tattoo on eyeliner which is definitely not going to happen.

Is it working?

I love saying that :"shame on you"..for certain things.. very few times have I said it..but I have..then I feel like I have thought too harshly!

Love it used in this instance..
Let us know if it really works!
Many young women now get eyelash extensions..I can always tell..Like feathery lashes..
Also a new Younique mascara has fibers(this is not new I told my daughter... when I was a teen a similar product was available..) she lent it to me for a trial.. I felt too Tammy Faye.
I do wear mascara..but not like that...

I haven't been using it for very long Monique, but I will tell you if it works for me. All of my friends that use it have had significant results, even have to trim them. Since I don't like (hate) to wear makeup (the worst part is taking it off), I would never ever put on false eyelashes. OMG.

You have to try facial towelettes..or the Bioderma Micelle solution..I bought it after Carol G..(PB) mentioned it..It works..and feels so good..
But my Costco Kirkland facial towelettes are the bomb:)
