This is for the two or so guys that read my blog. I know, from having a son, you like things that go vroom or putt putt along, all those endearing little sounds boys make.
I pass this little vehicle, or whatever it is, on the way to town when I'm at the farm. It is just the oddest thing. It reminds me of the cardboard boxes I used to climb into and turn into cars. The days and life much simpler then. I have never seen one driving on the road.
My friend Monique, recently went to Paris and reminded me of scenes we witnessed too while in Paris. These smallish cars (I drive a pick-up truck) would pull up to the curbs to parallel park and would literally bump into the cars in front and in back until they wedged into a parking place. I and my friends simply stood with our mouths gaped open; couldn't believe what we were witnessing.
If someone did that in America, they'd face stiff fines and a ticket and big insurance bills. That is if you are lucky and don't make someone mad enough to elicit road rage.
This little vehicle is old. The top was peeling and tattered. I didn't want to tarry too long and couldn't get a front shot or risk being run over by traffic.
Sorry ladies. If only there were some pretty wildflowers growing alongside. I'm off to can bread and butter pickles; the last thing I am canning this year.
Is anyone having trouble with blogger? Mine is acting up and I fully expect my blog to go poof.

It is hit or miss and I can't read others' blogs and even mine often. I'm going to go unplug the modem next. I just deleted cookies and it didn't help and that's all I know to do. Hope you have a great one too. It is a tiny car. I figured it had to be European as I've never seen one for sale anywhere.
I suspect I would find it challenging to get into, and more challenging to get out of, but it is cute.

Yes it would be. I used to have a Mazda Miata and it was hard to get in and out. Like you were almost on the ground. Yes, perfect car to pick up and move onto the sidewalk. We also saw them do that.
I thought it was some sort of golf cart! My mom had a tiny car when she first learned to drive, (at age 34!),it was a used 1951 model, A french car called a Simca. Ever heard of that? I just remember it being really little and brown. Have you seen the ducklings since the storm?
With those narrow streets in Europe there are many tiny cars, but I don't know the names. Yes, the babies made it through the storm and they'll probably fly away pretty soon. I spied a new batch across the lake last week, but I hope they stay on that side so I won't have to worry and feed them. Hope you are having fun this summer dear.
I love the little car. In Japan they have the best small cars and I fell in love with a small truck/van and wanted to take one home with me But I couldn't get it into the overhead bin !

DONNA! Hello there! First of all, Blogger IS having some issues. Last week after my post had been up for several weeks, suddenly had a mind of its own and my photos enlarged to colossal proportions! WEIRD....
Love this car. I've seen some pretty tiny teeny cars in France, but never one with these sharp angles! I actually wish we'd adopt a small car culture here! And I love what you said about the endearing sounds little boys (and men) make to create a speeding object!

It looks like a three-wheeler to me - there are still a few in use here in the UK, apparently they are cheap to tax.

I have had problems that lasted a long time, so I have a knee jerk reaction when something starts acting up.
Well, whichever I am sure your house is gorgeous. I love every single picture. Can't wait to see more. I wonder if it is Italian only because it is parked in a little town that is Italian immigrants that came to America to work in the coal mines and stayed.
It has four Elaine, but I am certain it is a European made car. I need to go back and look inside it.
So far Tom and Doc haven't said anything about it, so maybe they don't like cars.
Donna, please do return to the scene of the tiny car. It would be interesting to learn more about it. I would like to see it in motion.

Well I found out it's American made from 1974-79 in Sebring, FL. Said collectors are scooping them up as the first electric car. On one website, one was selling for over $1500. not running. Who knew. Just what I need. A broken down car on the farm. Maybe they'd take a hundred dollar bill or some deer meat;) I actually got a voicemail the other day; a guy wanting to trade something for some meat. It was a wrong number.
Donna, I appreciate the info update. I will have to mention this to my sweet brother whose museum employer might be on the lookout for such a vehicle. Or maybe already has one.
