Happiest Holidays

Though most of my tree collection is old, this little Japanese tree with the tiny paper cranes is a favorite.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy our daily or weekly visits.  Though we've never met, I have gained so much from our friendships.  I hope each and every one of you have the best holidays ever and I look forward to the new year and sharing our lives with each other.

What a sweet little origami tree. When I was in university, my housemate and I had enough money to buy a tree, but not enough money for ornaments. Instead, we used paper and made origami decorations. I think they were swans. Thank you for bringing back this memory for me! Have a very merry Christmas, Donna. -Jenn

Merry Christmas! I love that tree. I used to teach the book, "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes". We would always make them.

Oh Pat, I hope it gets better too. It is hard when one feels like they can do nothing, but we try anyway; do everything we possibly can. I hope you and The Farmer have wonderful days to come.

I just love that Jacques reads your blogs. He's definitely a keeper. I love the little cranes and need to learn how to make them to teach the littles. Happiest holidays to you and your family. Last minute shopping today then icing the sugar cookies. My son and daughter-in-law and Penny Lane will be here first thing in the morning. :)

Jenn, I love that. I have had years when we were young when we strung cranberries and popcorn to decorate the tree. I've only made paper airplanes for the kids, but would love to try origami. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

It is cute Lou and hope the coming year is a good one for you and yours.

Merry Christmas sweet Michelle. I'm going to have to go on youtube to see it done. A very large grey heron (crane) came to the lake out back yesterday, but most of it is still frozen. I was surprised he hadn't flown south for the winter. It only likes fish, but the ducks and geese skated over to feast on the corn and dog food nuggets.

And the same to you Donna, you've been an interesting, intelligent, feisty and funny blogging buddy. May we continue as friends. By the way, I really love that old red sled a few posts down, I don't think I've ever seen one so long before. Best of Christmas Holidays to you!

And to you Jeri. It is a big one and I almost would be afraid to see three little kids speeding down a snow covered slope on it. Hope you get some time to enjoy the holidays, but I'm already thinking about plans for this week. No rest and too much to do.

Becky, I wonder if it is because of google plus or something. Glad you stopped by and will try and see what is going on. My best to you.

It was a great eve except not being used to all that rich food, it made me feel sick. I started today with a tangerine. Thinking of you. Hope you are enjoying the holidays.
