I found these two flats of ground covers. From chartreuse to sage greens and purples; I don't even know how many different kinds of plants there are. The instructions say you can lay down the whole sheets or cut them up into 5 inch squares to put down. They are growing on a layer of coir, or coconut husks. I wish I had room on the walls (brick) as I can see them as a vertical garden.
Supposedly, you can fill in areas or even put out in the lawn as they can be mowed over. I am such a sucker for new things and am trying to figure out where to put them. I just love these.

I love new things too..for some reason I see a small fairy patch:)♥ The real ones..Mary Cecily Barker ones;) They have to be real:) Mine are a group of Misfit fairies now..as through the years they have sadly lost limbs and such..I still love them..:)♥

Yes, I would say sedums, they are so hardy.

AWWW! It's like looking down into a little Google-map forest! I can just see all the wood-sprites and satyrs and fairies and hoblets down there, going about their small business.
How CHARMING. I'd want it right by the door, to check in on all the wee neighbors, and listen in on the dances and tea conversation. Be sure to tell the wienies that "wee" means small in this case!

You're right Rachel. It does look like a beautiful miniature forest. I have to put them on the back porch somewhere so I can look at them.
That is the perfect idea. A wood pallet they could grow vertically on. I just wonder if they need some or full sun.
I really like the texture in these. I hope they work out well for you and that you will keep us posted on what you do with them.

They look to me like the sort of plants that people use to create a 'living' roof. More of a light trimming with shears than a going over with the mower, I would think!
Looks fabulous - I need ground cover for the back lawn which we are giving up on! Right now it's covered with fallen leaves - mostly oak - and we are allowing the vinca (periwinkle) to take over!!!
