Rustic Rhubarb and Raspberry Tart

I have only done a couple of posts on the new format, so here goes nothin'...

Rhubarb is more of a mid-western dish than southern, so I decided to try

it. I know they usually use strawberries, but I had fresh raspberries and

decided I'd try that. This turned out very good. I had two slices and quickly delivered to middle

daughter's family. Everyone is dieting in my family, it seems. Life isn't fair for those of us that

gain weight by sniffing food. Anyway, I am now a fan of rhubarb and will one day make it into a

muffin or cake. Hey friends, still read you all of the time though I don't post much. Sometimes,

Rachel and Doc, they say they can't be delivered.  Love to all!

That does look good.
Rhubarb is known as 'thumb' in my family after a brother's mishap in preparing it. Thumb and custard was served that night...

Lovely way to start a rainy, humid, dark morning Donna - seeing you pop up here with delicious rhubarb and raspberry tart made my day!

Have missed you and hope all is well - times have been trying and difficult but hopefully life will be much brighter soon!
Hang in there - enjoy pie and more!
Hugs - Mary

that does look good. I don't think I've ever eaten any rhubarb.

Love you longest blog friends. A custard? I will have to try that. Sounds delicious. Yes, so much happening this year as probably with us all. I've had both my shots and going out but my last weenie, Sister, is fading and I'm spending most of my time with her. Plus, I ruptured a disk in my back in the fall and have some paralysis in my leg and on top of all of that, I had a full face lift in January. It still hurts and, he's going to have to re-do some things. I wish I had known before I went on that trip. Who knew it hurt so much?

Welcome home!
I haven't been near rhubarb since childhood, though it is on sale at the grocery.

I'm so glad to see an old friend still around---the world goes on, and we persevere. I look at this wonderful old post-a-note box, and think, "I hope Donna's well and up to lots of her fun and artistic adventures," and I smile at the thought. So much has changed, with the world whirling too too fast, when I wake and it's time for the week's siren test, and where has all the time gone.
