Well, she is still here, hanging by a thread. It is still hot here so she has been busy. I thought you might like to see what my garden spider has been up to these last three weeks. She's just about given everything she has and senses the cold days approaching before her inevitable, final bow. What a spider!

Oh the mystery that is life! She is so beautiful and all that work for her babies safely cocooned in those amazing capsules. Thank you.
Ooh, she's such a beautiful lady, and takes her job as chief egg-layer most seriously !
I love to see their zig-zaggy webs...
She is beautiful in a spooky halloween kind of way...the babies are a little too sci fi for me though....nightmare stuff...
That is so AWESOME....Charlotte huh.
I know Susan, I just couldn't believe she had made two more egg cases in three weeks. She really guards her egg cases though. If I come too near (inches) she will start pulling her web back and forth like she is sort of jumping on a trampoline. Her balloon cases are just within her reach, about 12 inches away. Each little case is about 1" and believe it or not, if I stretched her out she'd be about 3" from tip to tip. I'm going to be kind of sad when I go out and she's gone. PS ~ a cold front finally arrived and tonight it will get down into the 40's.
Fascinating and beautiful! We had one last year build next to a window and were able to watch her magic from inside! I agree, sad to see them go when cold weather arrives. How I love to read your blog...always something interesting! I've had a busy summer and finally have a little me time, I mean blog time!
OH she HAS been busy!!!
Amazing, wow.
Holy Mackerel!!!
