Thought I would try to post. My first little, Bella, is thirteen now - a surly teenager, but I do love her. She is taller than me. Along with Oliver, Thora, Penny and Carson I am blessed with grandchildren.
I keep up with all of you and happy to hear how you are and sad when life happens to all of us.
Does anyone know if we still have access to Picasa? Well, here goes...

Hello, Dear Donna. How good to see you in the comments and now HERE!
Jo, Parsnip, Doc and Joanne - all dearest old friends. I have known of you for so long. I have to admit, I didn't do that snow to the picture. It just appeared like that. I don't know if it was Picasa, my camera or what. Three of my winter photos just appeared like that. I ruptured a disk in my back recently, and all for the want of a pansy garden. Seeing doctors and shot in the spine with weakness in my foot. It was eight days of hell before the "extrusion" moved off the nerve. I am literally tripping over my own foot. We all have our crosses to bear one way or another, but know that I love you from afar and think of you often.
That big grin and the snowflakes - grandchildren are wonderful. I have no surly teenagers, but like you, I'm sure I love them then too.
Good luck with the back. Raking leaves, I pushed some leaves forward with the side of my foot and suddenly couldn't stand upright. It passed after a couple minutes, but 8 days? Oh, you have my sympathies!
It is wonderful to see a post from you - and that is one spectacular photo - and gif. How clever you are.
Normally I don't like moving gif pictures but I love your snow.
As Joanne said, nice to see you in the comments and now a post! my grandkids are all grown now. the youngest is going to be 20 I think in February. seems like there is some access to Picasa though not sure they still call it that. don't remember right off the top of my head how to get to it though.
Good to see you posting Donna.
Aww, dear Donna, I am so sorry to learn of your back problems, and hope it is now sorted.
If you have any questions about your recovery, I'm your go-to person, having had major spinal surgery many years ago, I could write a medical journal metinks.
Hope you have a lovely Christmas and my best wishes to you and yours for the New Year.
Hugs,
~Jo
Debby from Texas? We do go way back. Also, Child, Tom, Ellen and Rachel, so nice to hear from you. I love you guys, remember that. Each so interesting, I'd love to spend hours talking with each of you. Jo, I may take you up on the back advice. I hate the idea of spinal shots ad nauseum and don't want surgery. I want to still travel and go places. I lost Emmy this past Spring and thought I would die but I didn't. Sister is hanging on but I don't know how much longer. I've had to care for her with insulin injections for the past six years. I'd do it again. I love my dogs like my children. On a happy note, It is snowing today. So quiet and the ducks are swimming with snow on their backs. Beginning to look like Christmas outside. Love all.
Such a lovely surprise to find you here today Donna - you are missed a lot.
Back injuries can be brutal but shots often help and can rescue one from the surgeon's knife - and who wants to be in a hospital now! I struggle on with the torn rotator cuff because surgery is not welcomed any time soon. Now sciatica and the continuing lower back issues - Bob did all the raking and blowing this fall, bless him!
Enjoy the grands while you can - they get worse for a while but then at 25 or so most change for the better!
Take good care of yourself - enjoy these quieter days (different this year) in the run up to Christmas - and please get a pic of swimming ducks with snow on their backs - would love to see that - and come back to us more often please!
Hugs - Mary
P.S. Sorry, know naught about Picasa - having problems learning NEW PicMonkey now after dealing with NEW Blogger - why can't they just leave things be.
Hi, Donna. Good to 'see' you around these parts! Happy Holidays to you and yours, Bea x
Mary and Bea, so happy to hear from you. Mary, I always traveled vicariously through you and your lovely home and life. I had the sciatica and low back issues but don't want surgery. The disk that ruptured was lower back and pressed on the sciatic nerve. My leg was a demon for a week. Never had pain lower than the hip. Didn't want to go to hospital since covid and hubby is too frail to catch it. I do hope to travel again and guess I will do some PT for the foot. Bea, I love your new house and thte views. I keep up with you too. I was afraid to try the new blogger, but it seems not insurmountable so I might have to keep at it. Take care and happy holidays dear ones.
So sorry to hear about your ruptured disc, Donna, I hope you are now feeling much more comfortable.
What blessing of grandchildren you have! I have one and that will be it, so I'm sure you can imagine how precious he is. Keep safe.
Hi Donna, Nice to see a post from you!
All the best,
Ry
What a nice surprise to see your post. Hope "the body" is getting better. It is so challenging to get all the parts working at the same time! I am using Picasa all the time for editing and posting. I download from my camera. It seems like it was not working for quite some time . And, a while ago I happened on it and tried it and was so happy to use it again. Happy Holidays and stay healthy friend. Mary
Thank you three for your well wishes and greetings. I have followed you for a long time and wish you the very best New Year!
